Chateau Godeau Ducarpe 2014

From the magical region of Saint-Emilion, Chateau Godeau Ducarpe 2014 offers the elegance expected of a Grand Cru. The year 2014 brought challenging weather. An early summer helped the vines flower, but mid August brought cold and rainy weather. However, the warm and dry Indian summer that followed helped the grapes reach the desired quality of a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. The bouquet reveals blackcurrant, dark cherry, rose, spiced tea, salty caramel and cedar. Made from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, this wine presents a full body with a lingering velvety cherry finish in a well-balanced style. Cherry, blackcurrant, bay leaf, caramel, iodine, a hint of cinnamon and cedar conclude the beautiful story told by this well-made wine. Enjoy!
