Vieux Chateau des Combes 2015
From my favorite wine area in the world, Saint-Emilion
offers such a wide variety of outstanding well-made wines. Vieux Chateau des
Combes 2015 may be young to drink now for a Bordeaux style wine. However, this grand
cru shows rich aromas of dark cherry, blackcurrant, fresh cut grass, black tea,
dark chocolate, crush black peppercorn and tree moss. Well balanced with a full
body, its finish is long and gently lingers in your mouth. Vieux Chateau des
Combes surprises with its complex finish of blackberry, cherry, rose, black
tea, some caramel and smoke, with an oak finish that is pleasant and delicate.
Pair with a red meat or cheese. Enjoy!
